TOSTEM Thailand – Driving Sustainability Towards a Low-Carbon Society.
Background of the Activity
As a company committed to environmental responsibility and sustainable development, TOSTEM Thailand recognizes the critical impacts of climate change on the economy, society, and overall quality of life. Reducing greenhouse gas emissions is a mission we have upheld over the years.
One of our long-term initiatives is tree planting. Trees are a natural solution to absorb carbon dioxide (CO₂), a major contributor to global warming. In addition to capturing carbon, they improve ecological balance and create green spaces for local communities.

Achievements Over 13 Years (2013 – 2025)
• Total trees planted: 10,030
• Estimated CO₂ absorption per year: 95,410 kgCO₂e
According to research from Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO), the IPCC, and other environmental studies:
• One tree (average lifespan ~30 years) can absorb 300–600 kgCO₂e over its lifetime
• This varies depending on species, soil, climate, and maintenance
Impact and Benefits
Over 13 years, TOSTEM’s tree planting efforts have reduced carbon emissions equivalent to removing approximately 20 cars from the road per year
Beyond carbon reduction, these initiatives:
